First Congregational Church Peru Illinois
First Congregational Church is an independent fellowship of Christian believers. We have served this community for more than a century and a half!

The church was founded in 1837, and has worshiped in the current location for the past 155 years. The church was rebuilt in 1966, incorporating elements from the original building while at the same time creating a spacious and beautiful sanctuary for the future.

In January of 2008 we welcomed Pastor Chris Surber and his family into the life of our church. Our congregation looks forward to the continued building the Kingdom of God in our community and beyond as we covenant together in the love of Christ to "Follow Jesus and Share His Love!"

The Congregational Way
is characterized by Faith in God, Freedom in Christ, and Fellowship in the Holy Spirit. As fellow travelers on life's journey we welcome you to join us for Bible study, fellowship, and worship every time our doors are open!
